The countdown is on! The 9th edition of the Global Footwear Sustainability Summit (GFFS) will be held from 20 to 22 October 2021. Corona conditional, the international sustainability summit will take place as a virtual event and for the first time in cooperation with PFI Asia.
What happens to old shoes that are no longer used? What are the new developments in upcycling and recycling? What are the implications of the Supply Chain Sourcing Obligations Act? And how will the shoe industry be able to cope with the high demands in the area of sustainability in the future? Experts from all over the world take a stand on these and many other questions at the Global Footwear Sustainability Summit and shed light on the multi-layered facets of the complex topic of sustainability.
The summit, which has been held annually since 2012, brings together stakeholders, footwear experts, leather professionals and all other interested parties from the footwear, leather and fashion industry to discuss current developments in the field of sustainability, environmental protection and CSR and to gain new insights for their own work. Top-class speakers from all over the world are also expected at the upcoming summit. The focus will be on chemicals, materials, production technology, packaging & logistics, retail, recycling & upcycling and green finance. In addition to exciting lectures, the sustainability summit offers numerous workshops and inspiring discussion rounds.
